The EGS Department was well represented at the SSAG Student conference held at Wits this year.

UCT’s Department of Environmental and Geographical Science was well represented at the Student SSAG conference in Johannesburg this year. Abdullahi Ali Hassan, Emily Nicklin, Thandeka Mbambo, Kolosa Ntombini, Molly Anderson, Sarlotte Kalenga, and Yaseen Samuels are all Honours or Masters students who presented at the conference.

We were delighted that two of our students came home with prizes. Congratulations to Molly Anderson who won the best oral presentation in Human Geography at the Honours level and to Kolosa Ntombini who won the best oral presentation in Human Geography at the Masters level!
